Winter's Quiet Views

This tree catches the last rays of the sun.....trying to ward off the chill maybe?

The earth recieves once again........

Winter's Holy hush....

Touches with frost-tipped fingers

We gaze at the last bit of light before taking the road home.....

Tis the Season

Wishing you peace......

many moments of joy......

and a heart filled with hope,

and don't forget.......a little dance now and then lifts the spirits.

A very blessed Christmas to all, reflecting on what our Savior has done for us.

Happy faces around a table....conversation and laughter shared with friends and family........not the stress we have manufactured around it.....this is what God desires for us, especially this time of year.

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20

Come to Me.....

 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,

...........and you will find rest for your souls

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Even so, come Lord Jesus.....

My Superstitions

Yesterday we took a walk around the old Goldfield mine......it is literally minutes from the house.

All the tourists were there, along with a sprinkling of locals who are wistful about the old West

and how it was back then.......it was good to see it through other eyes.

and towering over them....the Superstition mountains. I have claimed them, since they greet me each day......and I greet them too.

I love the fuzz on this guys ears.....

Monterey Views

On my 2 month off sabbatical last year, one of the places I went was here....

Walking the boardwalk at dusk

Jellyfish that look like glass.....

Ready for lift-off , I caught this guy taking off......

Every morning and evening the seals lounging close by on the shore, barked their greetings.

While out walking....

On foot, you can see things you would never see while driving by......

In the rain, we ducked into this Restaurant where I had the best Mexican dish I have ever had in my life......crab stuffed prawns.

I can still taste them.......more than a month later.

The rain that washed over the area has left with a glow of pink trailing behind it......

Recapturing the peace

This place captivated me.......I am wanting to go back

The back of Phil's Fish Market.......like a child at Christmas I discovered joyously the big wide ocean literally steps away.

Cat lover that I am, how could I not have captured this........at the end of the walk we discovered one........

I caught this fellow in the early morning light from a distance. I couldn't figure out if he was studiously watching something, or dozing off in the warmth of the sun.....

After the dark night

I think God gives us this beauty in the morning because He knows it renews our hope.....

To get up and watch the sun color the sky.....watch it fill everything it touches with its glow

This one reminded me of a Raphaelite painting I've seen pictures of.......maybe a Cathedral ceiling somewhere in Florence.

God does good work doesn't He?

Bird Views

These brown pelicans flew, sometimes so close to the water I was sure they would get swallowed up in the waves....but they knew just how close to go

They were looking for food down below those waves.......

While these guys were looking just below the sand......as the waves retreated they would run around looking for air bubbles from the sand crabs that the sea had washed up.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now.....

From up and down, and still somehow

It's cloud illusions i recall.

I really don't know clouds at all.......

Bougainvillas love the fall here.......

So do the Saguaros.....they are like gentle giants.
